FOUNDATION

Günter Gasper founds GASPER GmbH.

From a small, old warehouse in Porz-Lind, he begins importing and distributing plastic flowers.

EXPANSION OF THE PRODUCT RANGE

The company grows and with it the assortment.

Artificial plants and trees are added and the customer base expands.

DEVELOPMENT

GASPER GmbH has developed into one of the most important suppliers of innovative flower arrangements and bouquets within Europe. Artificial ivy of high quality that looks like real is a significant part of the range and contributes to the growing success.

NEW BUILDING IN COLOGNE

A new company building with offices, storage and exhibition space is built in Cologne-Porz-Lind. For the next 30 years it is the headquarters of GASPER GmbH.

NEW BUILDING IN OBERSPIER

The GASPER GmbH branch is built in Sondershausen-Oberspier. More warehouses and large areas for processing the articles are built.

SERVICE PORTFOLIO

The service portfolio of the branch is expanded to include price labelling of large quantities of articles. Together with the service of potting articles, the company further expands its status as a service-oriented partner of the trade.

HOME ACCESSORIES

The broad and deep assortment of silk flowers and artificial plants is expanded to include home accessories and gift articles. This makes the company a full-range supplier and opens up further customer structures, which contribute to the steady success.

MANAGEMENT

The management of the company passes from Günter Gasper to Frederic Blume. Under his management, the product range is continuously revised and expanded. The coordination of the different product ranges becomes even more important and the pool of suppliers is expanded.

WAREHOUSE EXPANSION

The warehouse space in Oberspier is expanded to a total of 25,000 sqm.

ANNIVERSARY

The company celebrates its 50th anniversary. GASPER GmbH is one of the few full-range suppliers in the industry and delivers to an international customer base.

FIRE

In November, the head office in Cologne is destroyed by a major fire except for two small warehouses. No employee was injured. Just three days later, business is resumed at a temporary location.

DIGITALISATION

A new ERP system is introduced, setting the technical course for the future. Internal and external processes are digitalised and further optimised. Digital interfaces are created for a wide range of customer requirements in data exchange as well as in e-commerce.

MOVING HOUSE

The move to the new building in Porz-Lind is planned for 2023. This will be built on the site of the building destroyed by the fire.
